The research begins
Professor Vladimir Khavinson begins peptide bioregulator research at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. The foundational hypothesis: short-chain peptides act as tissue-specific gene switches, restoring the expression that aging depletes.
Soviet military and space validation
The Russian military and space program adopt bioregulator protocols for cosmonaut health, athletic performance, and recovery. The compounds are tested under conditions designed to accelerate aging — radiation exposure, extreme stress, sustained physical demand. Results are classified for a decade.
Independent international validation
Peer-reviewed publication expands beyond Russia. Laboratories in Italy, Ukraine, South Korea, and the United Kingdom independently validate the mechanisms.
